Many people I meet with tell me that they were nervous to call me because they have never made a consumer proposal or filed personal bankruptcy before. This is a good thing. Unless you’re a licensed trustee in bankruptcy you don’t want to have much experience with consumer proposals or personal bankruptcy. While there are some people that have filed more than one consumer proposal or personal bankruptcy the majority of individuals I have dealt with are first-timers. I’m in a strange business – I don’t want repeat business (no offence!). My hope is that the people I meet with and help to overcome their personal debt issues won’t need my services again. I hope that through the consumer proposal or personal bankruptcy process and the credit counseling sessions provided, that you will be able to get a fresh start and rebuild.
